Who we are
Based in Leicester, UK, we are a small, dedicated team combining publishing experience, a background in languages and literature, and a strong interest in contemporary design and visual communication. Together we cover the full publishing process: from the infrastructure and know-how built over years of publishing experience, to the design sensibility and editorial eye that modern audiences expect.
We started Ashwood House Publishing because we believe that although the print-on-demand model has genuinely opened up what’s possible for independent authors, most authors still need support to make the most of it. The editorial work, the proofreading, the cover design, the digital formatting, the marketing — all of it can be done independently, but it takes time, skill, and confidence, to master. We provide that support, so authors can focus on their work.
What we offer
We work closely with each author throughout the process – from manuscript preparation through to publication and promotion – tailoring our support to the scale and nature of each project.
We use a print-on-demand model, which means no large upfront print runs, no warehouse costs, and global distribution from day one. Our services cover the full journey: proofreading and editing, typesetting and formatting, cover design, ISBN and DOI allocation, ebook conversion, author websites, and social media and launch support. These are available individually or through our bundled packages.
After your book is published, you retain the copyrights and full access to all the materials that have been created.
